Doctor of Philosophy in Information and Data Science (International Program) (I-DIT)
Applicant Qualifications
1. Applicant must hold a master's degree in information technology, computer science, computer engineering or equivalent area and must satisfy one of the qualifications as follows:
 1.1 Applicant has conducted a thesis research for no less than 12 credits from an accredited institution or university in Thailand or overseas.
 1.2 Applicant has conducted a Master Project or Independent Study for no less than 6 credits from an accredited institution or university in Thailand or overseas. Applicant must also have at least one research publication which has been published in academic conference proceedings or in an academic journal approved by the department.
 1.3 Applicant has conducted a Special Problem or Independent Study for no less than 3 credits from an accredited institution or university in Thailand or overseas. Applicant must also have at least two research publications which have been published in academic conference proceedings or in academic journals approved by the department.
2. Applicant must have an English proficiency certificate with a minimum score of 530 for paper-based/ITP TOEFL, 197 for computer-based TOEFL, 72 for internet-based TOEFL, 72 for TOEFL iBT Home Edition or 5.5 for IELTS Academic Module. The certificate must be valid within two years of the examination date.
3. An applicant who has previously failed the qualifying examinations of the program will not be accepted.
4. Applicant who does not meet the above requirements 1 and 2 will be considered by program committee
Required Documents
1. A passport-sized photograph, not wearing hat and sunglasses.
2. A copy of official master's degree academic transcript which includes the details of courses and GPAX. All documents must be certified and signed as true copy by the applicant.
3. A letter of recommendation from supervisor, or master's research advisor or lecturer. (to be brought to the interview examination)
4. A copy an English proficiency certificate e.g. TOEFL or IELTS “This test result has never been used to accompany the completion of a master's degree or a doctorate degree from KMUTNB.” (if any, to be brought to the interview examination)
5. Certification of work experience related to computer area. (if any, to be brought to the interview examination)
6. Marriage certificate/certificate of name or title change. (In case that the name or surname is not the same as in the transcript) (Please have it with you on the day of Interview)
7. A Certificate of Comparable Degree from Office of the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation. (In case of graduation from abroad) (Please have it with you on the day of Interview)
Additional details
1. Applicants who do not meet the above qualifications 1.1, 1.2 or 1.3 prior to the interview examination may be accepted into the program on the condition that they must satisfy the publication requirement within one academic year.
2. Applicants who do not meet the English proficiency certificate requirement may be accepted on the condition that they must meet the requirement mentioned above within one academic year.
3. Applicants who do not meet the qualifications in this document should contact the department prior to submitting the application on the internet.
How to Apply
1. Visit KMUTNB Graduate College Website (https://www.grad.kmutnb.ac.th) to check admission schedule (Normally the admission will open around December-January)
2. For Admission Website, please visit then register and apply via
https://grad.admission.kmutnb.ac.th
3. Fill in your information and print out Pay-In slip
4. Bring the Pay-In slip to make a payment at Bank Counter in Thailand (SCB or KTB)
5. There will be Admission Interview Date in the Pay-In slip
6. The department will send a Google Meet Link for Admission Interview
7. Attend the Admission Interview and the result will be announced by 1 week
8. The department will inform date of Tuition Fee Payment
9. After the Payment is completed, Letter of student VISA (ED) requested will be sent to the student for apply student VISA.
