Creating user interfaces for mobile applications using Figma workshop for HOG

Mr. Krichpetch Sintanakul and Mr. Sanguansak Sanpen, students in the Bachelor of Science Program in Informatics for the Digital Economy (International Program), conducted an interactive session for high school students at House of Griffin International Academy (HOG). The session focused on teaching and sharing techniques for creating user interfaces for mobile applications using Figma, tailored to the specific projects each group was working on.

The students at HOG explored real-world application concepts, including a Make-Up App, a Reading App, and a Parking Reservation App. Mr. Krichpetch and Mr. Sanguansak guided participants step-by-step through the design process, beginning with brainstorming features, sketching wireframes, and eventually creating interactive prototypes using Figma.

For the Make-Up App, the focus was on designing a vibrant and user-friendly interface, featuring virtual try-ons and personalized product recommendations. The Reading App emphasized clean layouts, intuitive navigation, and a visually pleasing reading mode to enhance the user experience. The Parking Reservation App group explored the integration of real-time parking availability, seamless booking features, and location-based functionalities.

By aligning the design process with each group's unique project, the workshop provided a hands-on learning experience. Mr. Krichpetch and Mr. Sanguansak offered practical insights and personalized feedback, helping students transform their ideas into functional and visually appealing user interfaces. The session not only strengthened the participants’ technical and design skills but also encouraged creative problem-solving and teamwork, equipping them with essential tools for future innovation in mobile app development.

This activity forms a key part of the collaboration outlined in the recent Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between KMUTNB and HOG International Academy. The partnership aims to provide students with valuable educational experiences, equipping them with essential skills for the digital future and inspiring a passion for innovation and technology.
